Decorated with a snake motif.

A closely related piece was seized during the 1897 punitive expedition and published in Pitt-Rivers, Antique Works of Art from Benin, 1900, Plate 48, Figs. 380-1. Therein it was describes as "An iron weapon of old make. The blade is decorated with an incised figure of a snake. Length of blade, 21 1/8 inches."
